So I’ll be starting a new series of life drawings, focusing on the interior of my kitchen. It may not seem like the most exciting subject, but it’s one that I’m looking forward to exploring in depth. What you should expect: At least 50 drawings over the next 3 months. Stay tuned!

Walking Mule Sketch

This is a drawing I made of one of the mules while she was being worked in the arena. I’m getting a bit better at drawing moving animals, but my general grasp of equine anatomy is pretty poor. This is one of the same mules featured in Sola’s website—there are a number of photos there, particularly in the articles section. My mule looks rather cartoony, and the legs are longer in the front than I’d hope; the proportions are bizarre. Getting better, though!
