Bus Portraits & Assorted Exhaustion

Thursday, October 7th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

Hey all. Sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve posted anything. Here are a few things I’ve done lately— I’ve got others that may find their way up here soon.

Figuring It Out

Thursday, June 10th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

A few selections from the life drawing. One of them was just before we started in with the live model. You can guess which one!

Kitchen: Ink on Brown

Thursday, June 10th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

This is the last of the kitchen drawings. I haven’t posted all 50 here, but I think I got most of them. This final set was drawn on a recycled paper notepad that has a lovely brown color and texture.

Kitchen Extras

Thursday, June 10th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

These drawings didn’t fit into any of the other sets I posted, which makes them leftovers of a sort. They’re easy to group, though — they’re all pen drawings on white paper.

Grey Paper

Thursday, June 10th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

Drawings of the kitchen in white conté crayon and charcoal pencil on grey paper.

Sharpie Drawings

A series of ten drawings of the kitchen I did using sharpie and colored markers.

Sculptures Redux

Friday, June 4th, 2010 | Felix, Sculpture | No Comments

These three are sculptures I’ve made — probably the last sculptures I’ll be making for a while. The spider was an outdoor installation, designed to withstand the local weather here. It was a mostly success.

The other two pieces were displayed indoors, constructed from blocks of wood and foam (respectively), cut with a band saw and then reconstructed into their final shapes. Enjoy!
