I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but your pen is turning into a tree. You’d gotta watch that!

I like it. What kind of pen was used to draw this? Just wondering if you drew a fountain pen with a fountain pen.

Most of my ink drawings, including this one, are drawn with Micron Pigma 0.5 or 0.8s. This one was a 0.5, I think.

It would have been clever of me to have used a fountain pen, and we could have done some Escher hand-drawing-hand (or pen-drawing-pen) action. Next time, maybe!

i like how the fountain pen looks classy and blends into nature. that’s how a fountain pen should be. Thanks for the inspiration. ๐Ÿ™‚

could i ask for your permission to use this drawing in the tarot deck i am designing called the Wide World of Tarot? it would be used on the queen if swords card, which features a tarot author and deck creator who is a novelist, translator, lecturer, teacher, all the things the queen of swords represents. in addition, she is very attached to her fountain pens!! she writes everything long hand in a journal with a fountain pen. this drawing has just the right whimsy and works perfectly with the image of her i am using. and also makes reference to something she just commented on…the morphing of the quill into the fountain pen. let me know about using the drawing. thanks for considering, t.

Sounds fine to me. If you could find space to do so, I’d love it being credited to Felix Wolfstrom.

Thanks for your interest. Tarot decks are a great place for art!

On November 2nd and 3rd, 2013 Mountain Art Network is sponsoring a calligraphy and fountain pen art competition. Would you be willing to enter to contest or support it in any way you see fit? Since this is the FIRST annual event and a self proclaimed National Fountain Pen Day, it is necessary to work in advance.

What are you imagining you’d use the logo for? Sounds like it would probably be fine.

If you give me your email address I’ll send you a copy of my idea. Love your work, love the idea behind this blog and look forward to speaking with you soon, and if not before, please have a wonderful Christmas and new year.

Kind regards, Jo

Hi Felix,
I love this drawing, and wonder if I could have permission to use it on my website, maybe a logo? I’m a copywriter and I love the vintage feel of it. I’d be happy to credit you and provide a link to your site, if available! Cheers, Lynn
